Recessed Solar Light – Red, Green or Blue LED

Available in Red, Green or Blue, the SolarEye 80 in-ground solar light is designed to provide 360 degree visibility at night. The main purpose of the SolarEye is to act as a guide light along pathways and seating areas, similar to cats eyes. They are particularly suited to areas where it is difficult to run power cables. These in-ground solar lights sit almost flush to the ground, are skid-resistant, IP68 and vandal-proof. This makes them ideal for both public and private areas. Alternatively, install vertically on fences / raised decking etc. The solar light must be positioned in direct sunlight and the dimpled surface helps to capture more light when vertical. The SolarEye will also charge and work effectively under several inches of water, however charging may take a little longer.

High quality, modern technology bring these in-ground solar lights above the rest:

  • Long life LFP batteries give up to 8 years life
  • 8-9 lm LED visible for up to 500m
  • Up to 250 hours of life when fully charged
  • Vandal Resistant – Compression tested to 55 tonnes and IK10
  • Quick and Easy Installation – No electrical supply required

Positioning Suggestions

Consider the location carefully prior to installation. Large areas of shade, overgrown foliage or debris may affect the performance of the product. Each installation is different, however below are some installation suggestions covering various factors.

Narrow or irregularly maintained paths – create a centre line spaced at 4.5m

Wider paths / highly maintained areas – use SolarEye on both sides of the path, spaced at 9m but staggered at every 4.5m (zig-zag)

3m+ wide shared use paths – a centre / offset line will mark out different sections e.g 1/3 cycle path, 2/3 pedestrians and other users.

TOP TIP: Use different colours to represent between marked out sections or coloured trails

Installation Method

Use a cutting mill to bore the hole in the desired location. Secure the SolarEye in place with a two component all weather eproxy adhesive and / or screw in place.
