The solid brass ‘Charleston Flora’ is a high quality 12v Spreadlight with a high end brushed rustic bronze finish and a ‘swan’ shaped curved neck. The elegant curved ‘shade’ and stem of the Flora makes it ideal for lighting areas of low planting or to spread light onto features and plants at a low level. Made from solid brass, the rustic bronze Flora has a subtle traditional aesthetic that will complement the natural shades and tones of the garden. The underside of the small shade has a white powder coated finish which acts as a reflector to enhance the light emitted. This also directs the light downwards and outwards – spread-lighting, downlighting, and spot lighting all in one. A robust four fin polycarbonate ground spike with anchor is supplied as standard with the fitting for easy mounting into soft ground, although our Charleston Brass Spike could also be used if preferred.

The rustic Flora Solid Brass Spreadlight will complement natural shades and tones of the garden. The beautiful ‘swan’ shaped curved neck and ornate shade spread illumination onto features and planting at a low level. The underside of the small shade also has a white powder coated finish. As a result, this reflects and directs the light downwards and outwards in an anti glare fashion. Charleston Modular Mounting
Charleston spot lights and spread lights use the same size thread stem (0.75 inches) which makes them extremely versatile when considering mounting options. Try replacing the polycarbonate spike with a solid brass spike, or alternatively use the Charleston Brass Bass to surface mount the spread light on any virtually flat surface. All mounting accessories sold separately.

Garden Lighting Made Easy!
Lumena offer a large range of high end 12v Plug and Play lighting and accessories making it very simple and easy for quick DIY installation. Low voltage lighting is particularly suited to outdoor environments because it tolerates the damp conditions without performance being affected. Anything required underwater should also be low voltage as it is much safer.
When it comes to connections, there are multiple cables and adaptors which are suitable for various 12v plug and play lighting systems. Lumena’s Versa plug & play system is compatible with a number of brands such as Techmar. Cables are available in various length in various combinations of plug & play and open end. In addition, 3 way and 6 way connectors make it very simple for connecting components and fittings to just one transformer.
12v lightings requires a transformer in order for these to be powered. A transformer converts 240v mains down to 12v low voltage. We stock various wattage transformers (10w, 20w, 50w and 100w). Calculate which size transformer is required for a circuit following this simple formula:
Lamp Wattage x Lamp Quantity = Total Wattage Required (minimum)
Example: 5W MR16 x 3 fittings = 15WÂ Â (20W transformer required)
You must never exceed the wattage of a transformer, and avoid underloading. The ideal capacity is 75-90% load.
12v Lighting Set-up Example
12v lighting circuits can use a combination of plug and play and hard wired components. Versa Plug & play is simple with various compatible adaptors, cables and transformers available. Easily convert plug and play to hard wired with our plug & play to open ended cable. Standard junction boxes and in-line connectors can then be used to connect the two systems together.
